What have I been reading lately, What I suppose about twitter and why blogging is the best.
I have been seeing a lot of great new blogs lately. I am still waiting to decide about all the twitter fuss. I still relish blogs and have a substantial number in my feed reader.
The point with blogs is that you can find hidden jewels, and they are from people that really like to can string more than a few words togther.
Sure you can discover some fashionable people on twitter. But, seriously, twitter is for individuals with attention defecit disorder or who dont like to write true posts. Yes, scores of people twitter and also blog, and those people are cool by me, but I am always and perpetually a blog devotee.
Blogs pressure the author to actually articluate their opinion. Twitter on the other hand merely allows you to submit it. Call me old fashioned but I suppose there is a point where smaller is no longer sweeter. We have been obsessed with miniturization for so long. Peculiarly when it comes to technology. Certainly there has to be a level where we realise substance matters. Value matters. What do you think?
Maybe the real answer lies in equilibrium. And compromise. You cannot force people to have essence and not be shallow. But, too perhaps you need to push the obama loving hippies to lighten up a bit aswell?
